The Consumer Packaging North America Division has an immediate need for a Design & Additive Manufacturing Intern. This role will assist our Corporate Additive Manufacturing (AM) team to deliver on a division wide AM strategy to support Berry Global’s North American manufacturing sites.
Responsibilities
Use of SolidWorks 3D CAD software for part modeling and technical drawings.
Reverse engineering of MRO components to support manufacturing efficiencies.
Improvement of reverse engineered MRO part designs.
Accurately measure parts using various types of digital devices such as calipers and micrometers.
Troubleshoot and brainstorm with cross functional teams across multiple manufacturing sites to deliver MRO solutions that yield cost savings and improved manufacturing efficiencies.
Qualifications
Pursuing a degree in a Product Design/Development related field
SolidWorks or related 3D CAD experience
High mechanical aptitude and problem solving abilities
Knowledge of 3D printing technologies
Collaborative driven team player with a high level of energy and enthusiasm
Confident and articulate speaking skills
Good listening and note taking skills
Strong organizational skills
