  1. I. FACILITY;

Performs daily inspections of forklifts and reports any safety and/or maintenance issues. Performs inspections of trailers before unloading and loading. Reports any safety issues or concerns within the warehouse and or equipment to supervisor. Follow all safety procedure pertaining to warehouse. Order picks product, receives product from other facilities, receives production put-away, and loads trailers. When loading all product must be secured by using airbags, empty pallets, load bars or other material if available. Pulls, loads and moves merchandise - checking pick sheets and load sheets and all documents specific to each type of merchandise. Reports inconsistencies or problems to supervisor. Uses equipment appropriate to each type of movement. Must maintain accuracy with all documentation. Adjusts dock plates to truck floor surface at shipping dock. Prior to loading, forklift operator must assure wheels of trailer are chocked. Will perform cycle counting, re-packaging of product and inventory consolidation duties. Assists in physical inventories. Will perform daily cleaning assisgnments in the warehouse.

  1. II. OPERATIONAL COMMUNICATIONS;

Must be able to read, write and understand English. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and Logistic Management staff. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

  1. III. HEALTH AND SAFETY;

Adheres to safety policies and procedures in compliance with AEP’s guidelines including wearing PPE in designated areas. Visually inspects warehouse area for tripping hazards, equipment safeguards, employee’s safety, and adherence to policies and maintains compliance with OSHA and company housekeeping rules. Employee is required to wear safety glasses at all time while operating forklift.
