Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for establishing, overseeing and auditing an effective preventative maintenance program.

  2. Responsible for developing, implementing and auditing systems, which assure adequate inventory of maintenance and supply items.

  3. Responsible for overseeing major repairs/upgrades to ensure completion in a timely and cost effective manner.

  4. Responsible for establishing, implementing, and auditing an effective safety program

  5. Responsible for coordinating vendor services, specifically: Grounds, maintenance, trash removal, hazardous waste removal, equipment repair/installation, and janitorial.

  6. Responsible for maintaining accurate records and file reports as required by EPA, OSHA,SWOAPCA, ECT.

  7. Responsible for establishing and auditing security systems and procedures.

  8. Responsible for developing and adhering to operating budgets.

  9. Responsible for Plan and coordinate “project” responsibilities as assigned.

  10. Responsible for ensuring “quality workmanship” in all maintenance/capital projects.

  11. Responsible for overseeing all personnel know and conduct sage machine operations to include Lock-out /tag out program.

  12. Attend weekly staff meetings

  13. Responsible for reviewing and signing associates time cards.

  14. Responsible for issuing corrective action notifications for program areas failing to meet the quality / delivery expectations.

  15. Responsible for consistently evaluating / documenting personnel performance as needed.

  16. Responsible for managing housekeeping of entire production area

  17. Responsible for training assignments of new associates, evaluate progress during 90 day probationary period, recommends discharge or retention.

  18. Responsible for: conducting all counseling and written warnings, suspensions and discharges for warranted violations of plant rules.

  19. Responsible for managing all department employees, including but not limited to: approve or deny vacation requests, time card verification, monitor attendance and taken disciplinary action if necessary, accident investigation and assigning daily work assignments.

  20. Responsible for ensuring that all hours worked by associates are accurate in the attendance system and verify all time cards of all hourly associates working on their shift.

  21. Responsible for in the event of an injury, for preparing all accidents reports by thoroughly investigating the accident. Interview all witnesses and see that the injured employee receives medical treatment.

MANAGERIAL / SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES

Directly supervises / manages 2 – 4 in the [functional] department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • 5 years plastic injection Molding equipment

  • 3-5 years supervisory experience

  • Extensive knowledge with electrical, hydraulic and injection molding machines

  • Strong PLC programming skills

  • Able to train others
