Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Injection Mold Setter to perform plastic injection mold changes. This excellent Mold Technician is knowledgeagble in the maitenance and repair of industrial size injection molding equipment. They pride themselves in their safety mindset, quality and follow through. Job Type: Full-time

Monday thru Friday 8-Hr Day Shift

Hiring Bonus: $1,000.00

Referral Bonus: $1,000.00 per referral

Bi-Annual Bonus Compensation

Responsibilities

  • Perform plastic injection mold change-overs

  • Disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly of injection mold bases, cavities, and Hot/Cold runner systems

  • Cleaning of vents and mold faces in production while in the injection molding machine

  • Grease molds and carriers as necessary, clean all excess residue that may come in contact with the parts

  • Change cavities and cores that have been damaged

  • Perform adjustments to molding machines to optimize the cycle and to make good quality parts

  • Assist with color and material changes

  • Trouble shoot Mechanical issues and determine an appropriate action plan

  • Monitor and ensure scrap is being accounted for accurately

  • Perform mold change overs in a timely manner

  • Perform adjustments to molding machines to optimize the cycle while maintaining quality parts

  • Trouble shooting part defects and/or manifold issues while in the injection molding machine

  • Change cavities and cores that have been damaged with mold being in the press

  • Trouble shoot cavities that may be blocked during production for flash, water leaks, or any other issues reported by operators

  • Assist production with color changes, material changes, and any other problems that may arise (i.e. stacker jams)

  • Work closely with quality control to address any quality problems that may arise during production

  • Report any oil leaks or machine issues to maintenance

  • Fill out mold books and down time sheets

  • Report any safety problems or concerns to your supervisor

  • Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work station

  • Any other duties as assigned by supervisor or department manager

  • Obtain forklift certification

  • Follow all Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures

  • Follow all good manufacturing practices (GMP’s) and HACCP practices

  • Must know the “Quality Policy” and “Food Safety Policy” while applying it to working practices

  • Must be able to work in a team environment and help others as needed

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to read and understand tooling prints, GD&T and shop math

  • Knowledge of injection molding cycles, thin-wall molding and stack mold processes

  • Thorough knowledge on how to use different hand and diagnostic tools for testing and fixing equipment

  • Ability to operate overhead cranes

  • Time management and organization skills

  • Has basic working tools

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). One-year certificate from college or technical school or three to six months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and fundamentals of plane and geometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
